I have always used NSi products. I trained with them many years ago and although I have taught nails I have always myself personally stuck with this company as I have found their products to be of very good quality.
Now people are raving about coloured acrylics and shellac (coloured gel) but NSi actually had these many years ago and I was using them way back then!.
I personally sculpture nail enhancements on, I feel that these give a more natural shape to the nail and give them a more natural feel.
These can be shellaced over, but of course removal is filling off so this does take longer, but the colour will last longer! This being as the nail is not as flexible as the natural nail would be.
Nail enhancements will last as long as you are prepared to look after them and come and have them maintained. It isn't a case of throw them on and leave them, you will be required to care for them.
One thing most people dont realise is a sculptured set is an art form. Many want tips stuck on and acrylic over. Although I am not really happy about doing this method I am again looking into it as some clients have been lead to believe through poor education this is better!
I do not use an electric file as I feel this does damage the natural nail plate and we are after all here to try and ensure that you nurture your nails. I do also take my time to apply a set of nails, this isn't a rush in and rush out treatment.
